3-Jack "Fail Safe" Linked Parallel
or Linked Series Wiring Configuration
There are several benefits to our 3-Jack Fail Safe wiring configuration.
First, in the event that one speaker fails at a critical time, say when playing
a gig or recording, the cabinet is still usable. Simply plug into the one
remaining good speaker ... hence, the "Fail Safe" benefit. This
configuration also allows the player a more flexible speaker cabinet, as you can
choose to run either one of the speakers by themselves or both together, simply
by plugging into the desired jack. This provides the player with different
power handling and impedance choices in a single cabinet. Also, if the
player chooses to run two different types of speakers, you can better tailor
your sound by switching between these different speakers.
NOTE: when ordering a cabinet, please let us know if
you want your cabinet wired in "Linked Parallel"
or "Linked Series" ...
thanks!
